Renée Zellweger may have heard a cheeky rumor about Bridget Jones costar Hugh Grant, but she's passing the baton to him to confirm or deny!

While looking back at some of her notable career looks in a Jan. 15 interview with British Vogue, the actress, 55, examined the wardrobe of perhaps her most iconic character, Bridget Jones — and revealed that Grant, 64, may still have a (slightly NSFW) piece from it.

When presented with one of Jones' iconic looks — her "tarts and vicars" party ensemble from the first flick in the franchise,Bridget Jones's Diary — Zellweger said, "Oh, Bridget. Goodness, that costume made me laugh out loud."

The star went on to explain what it's been like to reprise her role as the hilarious and drama-prone protagonist over the years in Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason (2004), Bridget Jones's Baby (2016) and, most recently, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. "It's such an unusual experience to be able to revisit a character in different stages of her life," she said in part, noting that it's been "pretty special."

Like Zellweger, Grant has also reprised his Bridget Jones role — flirtatious commitment-phobe Daniel Cleaver — since starring in the initial 2001 rom-com, in which he pursues Jones and, during their first hook-up, memorably describes her underwear as "absolutely enormous."

And the iconic underpants (which Jones herself calls "scary, stomach-holding-in pants, very popular with grannies") may have gone with Grant after filming wrapped, Zellweger went on to tell British Vogue.

"I heard some rumor that Hugh Grant kept the pants — the big pants — but I don't know if that's true," she said before cheekily adding, "We'll have to ask him."

Grant and Zellweger shared the screen in the first two Bridget Jones films, but the Notting Hillactor was absent from 2016's Bridget Jones's Baby. In the forthcoming fourth film, however, he will make an appearance as Cleaver — in part because he took "wrote some scenes" for the character, he previously revealed.

While speaking with Vanity Fair last fall, Grant revealed that in Bridget Jones's Baby, he "really couldn't fit my character in — he just didn't belong, so I stepped aside."

So the Hereticstar was ecstatic when he was offered to return in Mad About the Boy. "I loved the script — it made me cry, and I wanted to help with this one," he explained. "But really there's no part for Daniel Cleaver in it at all. They wanted him in it, and in the end, they'd done something I wasn't crazy about."

So, he did something about it, writing new scenes for Cleaver which ultimately made the final cut. And though he's "not in a lot," he still believes it's the best Bridget Jones film yet, telling Vanity Fair that, "when you see the film, you'll be very moved."
