Is Demi Lovato the next Martha Stewart?

In an Instagram Reel on Monday, July 15, the singer, 31, playfully posed for the camera while using a pink whisk in the kitchen, writing, "In my @marthastewart48 era 👩🏻‍🍳."

The post showed Lovato, who uses she/they pronouns, smiling as she whipped her hair from side to side to a remix of Tinashe's "Nasty."

Referencing the song's lyrics, she added over the video, "Is somebody gonna match my freak? (spend the weekend baking and in bed by 9 pm every night)."

While Stewart, 82, hasn't responded to the shoutout, fans couldn't help but applaud Lovato's love for baking, with one even writing in the comment section, "Will the real Martha pls stand up? 🤭"

"Me during this era 🫃🫦🥵," her fiancé Jordan "Jutes" Lutes, joked, referencing Lovato's cooking.

Lovato's new "era" is one she has happily invited fans to participate in.

In July 2023, she shared a TikTok video in which she gave insight into how she bakes s'mores cookie bars.

Lovato followed up the video a month later by showing her brownie recipe in a new step-by-step post. In December 2023, she and Paris Hilton baked pet-friendly cakes for their dogs as part of the A Very Demi Holiday Special.

Her interest in sharing some of her creations comes as no surprise, as she opened up to PEOPLE in March about how her relationship with social media has changed.

"My relationship with social media has evolved over the years from looking to the internet for validation to not looking at internet comments at all," she said. "If I happen to see something negative, it doesn't affect me the way that it used to. And I don't know if that's just with age or how many years I've been in the public eye, I just don't let it sit with me the way that it used to."
