Courteney Cox Teases Jennifer Aniston for Keeping So Many Clothes from "Friends": 'She's Adorable'

Cox said on the 'Fashion Neurosis' podcast that her co-star "holds on to everything"
The fashion on Friends was iconic when the show aired in the 1990s and 2000s — and has remained iconic ever since.
Courteney Cox, who played Monica, may not have had an appreciation for her clothes on the show then (and frankly still doesn't now), but she is quick to admit that her co-star and close friend Jennifer Aniston just got it.
When Cox appeared on the Fashion Neurosis podcast on Oct. 22, she told host Bella Freud that she "didn't love the '90s clothes" that she was wearing on the show. She admitted that she was allowed to keep anything she wanted from set, but she just didn't want to.
"I don't want to keep the same things," she said. "I get bored and I don't like a lot of things. I don't have a big closet.... If I don't wear it for a while, it's gone."

However, she told Freud that Aniston — who played Rachel — held onto not only her own wardrobe, but some of Monica's as well.
"She took a lot of Monica's dresses, and she'll say, 'Oh yeah, I used to wear this on Friends.' And I mean, it looks great on her. She has a great figure and she's adorable," Cox said. "But I'm like, 'Why would you take this floral little prairie dress from Friends?' But she holds on to everything."

Aniston previously said to WSJ. Magazine that she does, in fact, have that floral dress that Cox was talking about in her closet. She said she also kept a pair of her character's red loafers. She even brought that dress out in 2022, showing it off on social media.
Aniston shared two photos of Cox on the show wearing the dress, writing on the photo, "Does the dress look familiar? Still got it!" She also tagged the show and Cox herself.
Proving to everyone that the Friends wardrobe is timeless and that she did, in fact, still have the dress, Aniston also reposted a photo from her longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan's account while wearing it.
