Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx Laugh and Sing as They Reminisce About Their 25-Year Friendship: 'We're Back in Action, Baby'

In a fun new video shared by both stars and Netflix to promote their upcoming movie Back in Action, Foxx, 57, plays the piano and sings an original tune while Diaz, 52, dances and joins in on the song.
"Back in action / back in action / satisfaction, we're back in action!" Foxx sings, while his costar busts out a shimmy, laughing.
"People don't even realize how long we've been friends," the Oscar winner tells Diaz, who replies, "True. Since we were in Any Given Sunday together, which was in 1999!"
"And now, we're back in action, baby," she adds.
"Back in action / and we've been friends since before Apple started making the iPod and now they make the iPhone and not the iPod," Foxx hilariously improvises, in song.

"Tell 'em what else happened, Jamie," Diaz says, to which Foxx replies (singing, of course!), "What else happened was Martha Stewart got super into weed and became best friends with Snoop."
"I made four Shrek movies," Diaz says.
"Yes! Love that," Foxx responds. "We also did Annietogether. And we lived through so much. We lived through Keyboard Cat, Pizza Rat, NFTs, DVDs, Corn Kid, Bean Dad, Salt Bae, Left Shark, Pink Sauce, Grimace Shake and 'The Dress.' "
"Oh yeah, which was white and gold," Diaz insists — but Foxx protests, "I thought it was black and blue."
"And now we're back together for another movie, and I am just so excited," adds the There's Something About Mary actress.

Netflix debuted the first teaser trailer for Back in Action in November, showing Foxx and Diaz on a high-octane thrill ride as a married couple forced back into their old jobs as spies.
"Years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily and Matt find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown," a synopsis teases.
Back in Action is Diaz's first movie role since 2014's Annie, which Foxx also starred in. Her return to acting was first announced in June 2022, and she and Foxx were later seen filming the action-comedy as soon as December of that year.
Production on the movie continued through January 2024. The film's production made headlines in April 2023 when Foxx had a medical emergency that interrupted filming for a period of time.
The actor chronicles his health challenges in a recently released comedy special titled Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was ..., now streaming on Netflix.
Back in Action premieres Jan. 17, 2025, on Netflix.
