An 18-year-old California man was arrested and charged with a hate crime after allegedly tearing down a pride flag at a Blaze Pizza and assaulting employees.

Igor Dragun is charged with a hate crime, assault and two other crimes for the alleged incident in Roseville, Calif., the Placer County District Attorney's Office says.

The alleged assault occurred on Sept. 19, Roseville police say.

Citing police, KCRA, ABC 10 and CBS 13 report that the incident began when Dragun went to the restaurant to pick up a delivery and spotted a pride flag before allegedly throwing it to the ground. Dragun then allegedly confronted the manager and an employee and used a homophobic slur, the outlets reported.

Police, according to the outlets, say Dragun then returned with two other individuals and began fighting with two employees, one of whom sustained facial injuries.

Dragun, who is being held on $150,000 bond, has not yet entered a plea. He is next due in court on Oct. 17.
