Brit tourist, 62, dies after being 'pulled from the water' at beach in Cyprus holiday resort hotspot

A BRITISH tourist has died while swimming at a Cyprus holiday hotspot today.

The 62-year-old was swimming at a beach in Pegeia when he disappeared from sight, SigmaLive reported.

He was brought to the shore where emergency crews performed CPR on him, but the man did not survive.

The man was then taken to Paphos General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The exact cause of his death is expected to be established after the mandatory autopsy.
