Brad Pitt's upcoming movie focused on F1 racing continues to film at real Formula One events like the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix
Brad Pitt is all revved up.
The star, 60, appeared on the set of his upcoming movie about Formula One racing, F1, on Sunday, Dec. 8, popping bottles of champagne alongside his costar Javier Bardem and real-life Formula One racers Charles Leclerc and George Russell during the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix.
The actor was photographed in an all-white racing outfit, grinning with an open bottle of champagne in hand. Next to him, Bardem raised a trophy in the air as Leclerc and Russell appeared to douse the two actors in champagne. Pitt's black cap read "1st" on the side, giving audiences an insight into the scene's events.
Last Thursday, Dec. 5, Pitt was also photographed while filming ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, wearing a similar costume as he appeared to sign an autograph onto a baseball cap.
The film, led by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, 50, stars Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former driver "who returns to Formula 1 at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid," per a synopsis. He costars alongside Damson Idris, who plays his teammate, and Bardem, who plays, Ruben, the owner of the team Pitt's character drives for. The cast also includes Kerry Condon,Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo
Kosinski, 50, is also producing the film alongside Pitt, Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. Under his film and TV production company, the seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton has also joined the movie's team as a producer.

Though audiences may have already seen a sneak peek of the film in a teaser trailer released back in July 2024, the cast and crew have continued to utilize real-life Formula One racing events throughout the year as backdrops for filming. More recently, Pitt was also spotted at the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix, filming several scenes for the film, which is slated to release in the summer of next year. The film will also feature 10 different real Formula 1 teams and actors who portray their drivers.
Pitt has been working hard to keep the movie as accurate as possible, according to Bruckheimer, 80, who told PEOPLE that Pitt had "trained for four or five months."
But Bruckheimer wouldn't reveal just how fast Pitt has been driving to keep the movie as realistic as possible.
"I can't tell you. The insurance company will kill me," he joked.
F1 is in theaters and IMAX June 27, 2025.
