Beyoncé is joining Kamala Harris on the campaign trail as the 2024 presidential race nears the finish line, according to a new report from The Washington Post.

The 43-year-old superstar will reportedly appear in her hometown of Houston alongside Harris, 60, on Friday, Oct. 25, after months of suspense over whether she would formally weigh in on the Democratic nominee's candidacy.

According to the Post, which cites people familiar with the planning of the rally, Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, and country music legend Willie Nelson will also make appearances. It's still unclear whether the artists will perform — at a Democratic rally in Detroit earlier this week, Eminem introduced former President Barack Obama, but did not rap.

Beyoncé has previously shown support for Harris by gifting her and second gentleman Doug Emhoff tickets to the Renaissance World Tour in 2023, and by allowing her music to be used by Harris' presidential campaign.

Beyoncé's appearance will come months after Harris' first campaign video in July featured her song "Freedom."

In the video, Harris' narration draws a contrast between herself and former President Donald Trump. "In this election, we each face a question," she says in the ad. "What kind of country do we want to live in?"

"There are some people who think we should be a country of chaos. Of fear. Of hate," Harris continues. "But us? We choose something different. We choose freedom."

In the ad, Harris says "freedom" includes the ability "not just to get by, but to get ahead. The freedom to be safe from gun violence. The freedom to make decisions about your own body."

"We choose a future where no child lives in poverty. Where we all can afford health care. Where no one is above the law," she says. "We believe in the promise of America and we are ready to fight for it. Because when we fight, we win. So join us."

The ad ends with Beyonce's lyrics, "I'ma keep running cause a winner don't quit on themselves."

Beyoncé gave Harris rare permission to incorporate "Freedom" into her campaign materials days after she entered the presidential race. Harris has repeatedly played it as a walk-in song on the campaign trail, including at the Democratic National Convention.

Additionally, Beyoncé reportedly shut down Donald Trump's attempted usage of "Freedom" after Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for the former president, shared a video on his own X account of Trump walking off a plane on Aug. 20 set to the track.

Rolling Stone reported on Aug. 21 that the Trump campaign did not have permission to use the song and that the singer threatened to send the Republican presidential nominee's campaign a cease-and-desist.

Beyoncé has voiced her support for the Democratic Party on various occasions, including in 2013, when she sang the national anthem at Obama's inauguration. In 2020, she also previously posted a social media clip encouraging voters to support Joe Biden.
