Beyoncé performs in Houston in December 2025Beyoncé and her Grammy-winning album have been left out of the nominations list for the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards.
On Thursday, March 27, the 2025 ACM Awards nominations were announced with Ella Langley in the lead — and the "CUFF IT" singer was notably left off the ballot.
The snub comes after Cowboy Carter earned the star Grammys for album of the year, country album of the year, and best country duo/group performance for "II Most Wanted," her collaboration with Miley Cyrus.
In September of last year, Beyoncé was also notably left out of the CMA Awards nominations list. After the announcement, stars like Luke Bryan, Whoopi Goldberg, Kelly Clarkson and Billy Ray Cyrus weighed in on the matter.
"I kind of find it fascinating," Clarkson, 42, told NBC10 Boston of Beyoncé's lack of nominations, "because I feel like those songs were everywhere."
Cowboy Carter reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, while its lead single "Texas Hold 'Em" hit the top slot on the Billboard Hot 100.
"That's a hard industry, even for me," Clarkson added of country music. "I was told at a lunch if I didn't quit pop music and just go country, I would not be played. I was literally told that to my face at a lunch, and I was like, 'Okay, no offense, but I'm not ever gonna just pick one.'"

"I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists. And I just want to encourage people to do this," she said, in part. "Stay persistent."
Ahead of the Grammy Awards, the "Single Ladies" singer became the most nominated artist of the year with 11 nods total for Cowboy Carter.
