Beyoncé has broken a Grammy Awards record!
After the Recording Academy announced the full list of 2025 Grammy Awards nominations on Friday, Nov. 8, the organization also confirmed a major achievement: Beyoncé is now the single most-nominated artist in the history of the ceremony with 99 nominations.
This year alone, the Cowboy Carter artist was nominated for 11 awards, including several first-time nominations in the country categories: best country solo performance for "16 CARRIAGES," best country duo/group performance alongside Miley Cyrus for "II MOST WANTED," best country song for "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" best country album, best Americana performance for "YA YA" and best pop duo/group performance for "LEVII'S JEANS" with Post Malone.
This isn't Beyoncé's first time holding a Grammys record. She previously tied for most-nominated artist with her husband, JAY-Z, at 88, while she's also the most-awarded artist in Grammy history with 32 wins.
The musician's record-breaking nominations come after some controversy at last year's Grammy Awards, when JAY-Z called out the Recording Academy for snubbing his wife multiple times over the years in the album of the year category.
"We want y'all to get it right," the rapper, 54, said at the time he as accepted the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. "At least getting close to right. And obviously it's subjective. Y'all don't gotta clap at everything. Obviously it's subjective because, you know, it's music and it's opinion-based."
"But, you know, some things — I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year," he continued, referring to Beyoncé. "So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work. Think about that. The most Grammys, never won album of the year. That doesn't work."
At the time, Beyoncé had been nominated for album of the year four times, losing to Taylor Swift in 2010, Beck in 2015, Adele in 2017 and Harry Styles in 2023.
"You know, some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you've been robbed. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don't belong in a category. No, when I get nervous I tell the truth," JAY-Z added.

The rapper made similar comments in 2023, telling Tidal in an interview just before that Grammys yet again that he hoped the Academy would "get it right" and vote for Renaissance for album of the year.
"The truth is, we grew up wanting to be on the Grammys, and it was our goal. We just want them to get it right. That's what we want," he said in 2023.
Other top nominees this year include Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone with seven nominations apiece, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift with six and producer Jack Antonoff and country breakout Shaboozey with five each.
The 67th Grammy Awards is set to take place live in Los Angeles at the Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025.
