A WEATHER presenter has left BBC fans gutted as they announced their departure after 26 years on air.
The Beeb took to social media to reveal how the fan-favourite meteorologist would be leaving the broadcaster.

They said: “Some sad news to share – after 26 years, weather presenter Sara Blizzard is leaving the BBC.
“Sara, who joined BBC East Midlands Today in 1999, is much loved by viewers and radio listeners – and such a familiar face on our screens.
“You’ll still be able to see her on the TV and hear her on the radio until February.”
Devastated fans flooded Sara with supportive comments, with one writing: “What a consummate professional, clear presenter & calm person. Thank you, Sara.”
A second posted: “A huge loss to the BBC! All the best for the future, Sara.”
“Always think you’ve got the perfect name for a weather presenter,” said a third humorous fan.
While a fourth commented: “All the best Sara, you will be missed.”
Meanwhile, last month the BBC’s Jenny Hill revealed she had quit after 24 years.
Jenny – who had been their foreign correspondent – told viewers: “Personal update: I'm leaving the BBC today after 24 years. What a privilege it's been to travel the world and tell people's stories.
“Thanks to the many lovely colleagues whose talent, courage and friendship have made it such a pleasure.”
Jersey girl Jenny began her journalism career on the island’s BBC radio show, before going to Cardiff University.
A stint working in Birmingham for Central Television was followed by a return to her home island when the BBC launched a Channel Islands news service.
