A baby who was born after her mother died in a fall from a residential tower in England this week is currently receiving critical care, authorities said.

In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, West Yorkshire Police said the death of the woman on Tuesday, Oct. 22, is not being treated as "suspicious."

"Police were contacted by the ambulance service who had been called to an incident where a woman had fallen from height at Shakespeare Towers, in Shakespeare Approach, Burmantofts," said police, who added that the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the woman, who was in her 30s, "was in the late stage of pregnancy" at the time of the fall. Afterwards, her "baby was delivered" at the hospital and is currently "receiving critical care."

Police have not named the woman, but the BBC, YorkshireLive and The Times have identified her as Emma Atkinson.

Atkinson's older daughter, Demi wrote in an Oct. 22 Facebook post that her mother sadly "gained her wings and joined heaven this morning."

"We love you like no other mum and always will god you've left us all heartbroken," she added.

Demi also posted images on Facebook of her mother's newborn receiving care at the hospital. Posting a photo of the baby appearing to make a fist, Demi wrote that she was "fighting for her mummy."

Emma, a mother of four children prior to the birth of her baby, shared a selfie of her baby bump through Facebook a month ago, writing in the comments section, "It's a girl, couldn't be happier."

Martyne Taiwo, Emma's friend, described the mom as "bubbly" and "full of life," according to YorkshireLive. "She was a big people pleaser," added Taiwo. "You never really knew what was going on, unless you totally knew her totally, unless you were sat up on the phone at 3am or 4am in deep conversation."

Taiwo added that the two of them were "good friends" their whole lives and that she was her "crutch."

A GoFundMe fundraiser established on behalf of the family has raised over $7,700 dollars ($6,000 pounds) as of Friday, Oct. 25.

"Emma had the biggest heart and would of done anything to help anyone," the organizer wrote.
