B&Q is a one-stop-shop for all of your home improvement needs, making it a favourite among UK shoppers.
However, the retailer will be operating under reduced hours on New Year’s Day 2025. Here’s everything you need to know.
New Year’s 2025 opening hours
B&Q will operate with reduced hours on New Year’s Eve throughout the UK, with nearly all branches opening from 7am to 4pm.
The DIY superstores will also open with limited hours on New Year’s Day in England, while all locations will be closed for the entirety of the day in Scotland.
For example, customers can visit the Peckham branch between the hours of 10am and 4pm on January 1, 2025.
Opening hours vary from store to store, so it is advisable to check whether your local B&Q will be changing its business hours.
You can do this by asking in store or checking the B&Q store locator tool on their website.
Alternatively, you can email or phone their helpline.
From January 2, 2025, B&Q will be open as normal.
The chain has a huge January sale on, with up to 60% off selected kitchen and bathroom fittings, as well as massive savings on power tools and multi-buy offers on paint.
Online shopping
Shoppers in Scotland can still purchase from B&Q on New Year’s Day.
But lovers of the DIY shop will need to use the company’s website to bag themselves a deal on the first day of the January sale.
They might need to wait a little bit longer for their items though, because of delivery services being flooded with orders over the Christmas period.
