Grande is up for outstanding supporting actress in a movie for her performance as Glinda in 'Wicked'
Ariana Grande and her mother, Joan Grande, know how to do chic!
The mother-daughter duo stepped out for the Golden Globes First-time Nominees Luncheon at Maybourne Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
While on the red carpet, the ladies posed for pictures in perfectly contrasting colors.
The Wicked star, 31, who was recently nominated for her first Golden Globe Award for her role in director Jon M. Chu's film adaptation of the Broadway musical, wore a sleeveless satin dress in a champagne shade.
A belt rested at the center of her waist, accentuating her teacup dress.
Ariana wore closed-toe satin pumps that coordinated with the color and material of her gown, and went with minimal accessories, making her dress the star of the show. The "Popular" singer wore her signature winged liner and ponytail, and her nails were styled in a French manicure. Her lip gloss added an elegant pop of color.
Meanwhile, Joan, 67, proudly stood by her daughter, smiling and laughing in red carpet photos at the Los Angeles-area event.
The businesswoman and producer wore a black two-piece set consisting of a coatdress for her top and pants for her bottoms. Joan paired the winter look with black boots.
Ariana's look coordinated with her Wicked press run wardrobe as the actress starred as Glinda — wearing various hues of pink for virtually every appearance since the film was announced.
On Monday, Universal Pictures announced the second installment of the Wicked film adaptation would be getting a title change to Wicked: For Good.

For Joan, she's always known her daughter was worthy of stardom, once telling PEOPLE that Ariana was "probably 3, 3½" when she realized the actress could sing.
"And she was in her car seat and I was driving and listening to NSYNC as every mother should be. She hit one of JC [Chasez]'s power high notes and I kind of pulled the car over and I said, 'Ariana, was that you?' "
"She didn't know. She thought everybody sounds like that," Joan said with a laugh.
Her love and support have only grown over the years.

After attending the 2020 Grammys with the "Positions" singer, Joan tweeted: "I am so mf proud of my daughter for a million reasons..but to name a few she stepped out & owned the red carpet TWICE."
"She gave a phenomenal performance, she owned sitting in her seat during the show showing true warmth, sincerity & respect ... & she had a great time! Ariana won!"
More recently, Ariana paid homage to her mother during a September Saturday Night Live appearance in which she channeled Joan's personality to create her own character for her viral "Charades with Mom" sketch.
