The Oscar-winning actress saw Adele perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, Nov. 1
Adele paid homage to one of Meryl Streep's most beloved film roles — and the actress seemed to approve!
During her Weekends with Adele Las Vegas residency show on Friday, Nov. 1, the singer, 36, made her way through the crowd at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace while dressed as Madeline Ashton, Streep's character from the 1992 film Death Becomes Her, as seen in video shared online.
Wearing a silver jacket reminiscent of one that Streep, 75, wore as Ashton in the comedy/fantasy movie, as well as a blonde wig and a large silver necklace, Adele sang her track "When We Were Young" but stopped when she saw the star standing in the audience before her.
"Hello," Adele cheerfully said as she curtsied before the Oscar-winning actress, who then returned the favor by bowing before the performer.
The pair next shared a sweet embrace, hugging one another as Adele continued to belt the tune from her 2015 album 25. "I love you," she also told Streep in between song lyrics.

Adele's sweet encounter with Streep took place shortly after she shared a moment with Céline Dion at her Las Vegas residency show on Saturday, Oct. 26.
In a video posted by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), Adele sang the same song as she did while greeting Streep when she approached Dion, 56.
Adele became tearful as the pair embraced for several seconds. She then said a few words to Dion, who held Adele's face in her hands, before the "My Heart Will Go On" singer kissed her hand.

Adele later detailed in a post on X why the moment was so special for her, writing in part, "I have been performing in Celine Dion's room at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now. It was the only venue I wanted to play in Vegas because it was built for her. I have a picture of her right next to the stage that I touch every night before I walk on and she came to the show this weekend and it was a surprise and it was a MOMENT!!"
Not long after, Dion herself then paid tribute to the special moment shared between the singers, writing to Adele in an Instagram post on Friday, Nov. 1, "Your performance was spectacular, your production was so beautiful. We loved seeing you and hearing you sing…it was such an emotional night for us all."
