30 Celebrity Alcohol Brands That Double as Fun Holiday Gifts
11/15/2024 06:45 AM
Including wines from Cameron Diaz and John Legend, vodka from Kate Hudson, and a liqueur from Mariah Carey
It's no secret that over the years, more and more celebrities have launched liquor brands. What may not be as widely known is the fact that many of these celebrity alcohol brands are damn good.
Don't get me wrong, not everyone is a quality vintner or master distiller, and it's easy to get lured into spending your hard-earned coins on something because a celebrity put their name on it. But that's not the case with the celebrity spirits and celeb owned wine brands regularly purchased by our PEOPLE editors.
The same way Casamigos made George Clooney the highest-paid actor in the world back in 2018 (when he sold it), these drinks are poised to make their celeb founders a lot of cash. They look as good as they taste, so they make the perfect gifts for women, gifts for men, even gifts for grandma. But before you buy them — and gift them — check out our list of alcohol brands owned by celebs that are worth the hype, and the money.
Celebrity-Owned Wine
When it comes to gifting alcohol, wine is a no-brainer because it can be served at a dinner party, a dance party, or in the backyard while you "spill" tea. Grab one of these celeb wines when you want to impress your guests.
Avaline
Those looking for an organic wine with less sugar can rejoice over this creation by actress Cameron Diaz and entrepreneur Katherine Power (MERIT, Versed).
You can feel the duo's love of wine with every sip of these affordable yet flavorful wines. You can also see Power's beauty background in the simple bottles with beautiful labels in muted tones.
Our Editors Say
"I was a huge fan of this wine before I knew it had any relation to Cameron Diaz. Now that I know it's her line, that's just icing on the cake. As I get older, wine hits me harder the next day, so I have to be a little pickier about the ingredients. This organic wine is high-quality, yet affordable (you can get it at Target!), and it's always a hit when I host girls' nights." — Erin Johnson, associate shopping director
Hampton Water Wine
The brainchild of singer, songwriter (and all around rock icon) and actor Jon Bon Jovi and his son Jesse, this wine brand benefits from the touch of famed winemaker Gérard Bertrand — if you know, you know.
If you don't know, the bottom line is that he knows how to make an impeccable wine. Right now, they just offer a sparkling and still rosé, but we're excited to see how the father and son duo expand their repertoire after the holiday gift-giving season.
Kind of Wild
Leave it to celebrity chef Katie Lee Biegel to drop a must-stock brand of wine. After all, chefs' palates are so vast, we're not shocked that Biegel's tastes (she's co-founder of the brand) led to such a phenomenal line of drinks.
The affordable, zero-sugar line includes four red wines, three whites, one rosé, and one sparkling white from various countries. The brand even offers bundles that make gift-giving easy.
Fresh Vine Wine
When actresses and gal pals Julianne Hough and Nina Debrov teamed up to create a line of wines, they also set out to make enjoyable, gluten-free, keto-friendly, vegan-friendly, low-carb, low-calorie, and low-sugar drinks. A mouthful, right? But they succeeded with this line (which has since been acquired) of affordable wines that include award-winning reds, whites and rosés.
If you're looking for a top-dollar gift for your best gal pal, the Limited Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is the way to go.
VII(N) The Seventh Estate
Inspired by his love for the Southern Rhône region of France, basketball star Carmelo Anthony launched this global wine brand alongside business strategist and entrepreneur Asani Swann Benjamin.
In a mission to "make quality wine accessible to all," the vineyard has already launched four decadent wines (three reds and one white, ranging in price from $24 to $275, giving wallets of all sizes options when it comes to gifting this holiday season
Maison No. 9
Yes, that is musician Post Malone you see as soon as you go to the website for this rosé, and the drink is exquisite. If you're someone who swears by the mantra "rosé all day," then you'll particularly appreciate this smooth and crispy wine.
While the musician believes that "rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy," we think it's an acceptable everyday drink.
Our Editors Say
"I was absolutely shocked when I found out that this was Post Malone's wine brand. The bottle looks elegant and understated, and it tastes crisp, light, and fresh — perfect to make any cold winter evening feel like a bright summer day." — Cai Cramer, shopping writer
Drop of Sunshine
This wine company gets an honorable mention because although it's not actually owned or founded by Reece Witherspoon, it was created in partnership with her media company Hello Sunshine. Offering a chardonnay, a red blend, and a sparkling rosé that all cost $25 or less — with a combo pack available for just $75 — it's an affordable gift for your loved one who can recite the words to Legally Blonde.
Forever Young
After seeing so much success with her Skinnygirl line of adult beverages, Bethenny Frankel decided to set her sights on wine. The Real Housewives of New York alum launched this line of rosé (and one Sauvignon Blanc) with French winemaker Valérie Rousselle.
The whimsical bottles evoke a feeling of spring year-round, so it makes sense that you would want to give one to someone you love for the holidays. "With every sip, you will understand why I entered back into this space," Frankel told her social media followers. Touché!

Celebrity-Owned Champagne and Prosecco
It's not a celebration until you pop a bottle of bubbly. Choose from any of these celebrity-owned champagne and prosecco brands that are yummy, crisp, and easy to drink.
LVE French Sparkling Rosé by John Legend
This John Legend winery (did the name Legend Vineyard Exclusives give it away?) offers 10 varieties that vary in price and taste, so there's something for everyone. But it's the sparkling rosé that truly has our hearts and wallets.
With the right balance of not too sweet and not to dry, it's fruity, bubbly, and soft in the best way. Take note: It's so light and tasty that you may find yourself at the bottom of the bottle quickly. You've been warned.
Our Editors Say
"I love sparkling rosé and this has easily become one of my favorites. I didn't even know it was a celeb-owned brand when I first experienced it, I just knew it was good. The bubbles dance on your tongue so delightfully, plus it doesn't taste syrupy or go flat quickly." — Shalwah Evans, senior shopping editor

Viarae Prosecco
If you follow actress Issa Rae on social media, then it was no secret that she had been working on her prosecco for a while. So when it launched we were more than excited to get our hands on a glass, or bottle, or two. Whether you like a dry brut or a rosé with more citrus-forward notes, you'll enjoy both offerings from the Insecure star.
The bottles have a vintage feel that'll stand out on any bar, so if you plan on gifting one for the holidays, all you need to do is put a bow on it.
Armand de Brignac Ace of Spade Champagne
We couldn't talk about celebrity-owned bubbly brands and not mention this behemoth owned by LVMH and Jay-Z (Shawn Carter). It's a personal favorite and an aspiration bottle since it could easily run you upwards of $300. Between the way the creamy bubbles dance on your palate and nose, and the way the gold bottle (and shiny black box that houses it) looks on your bar, you may be willing to spend a few extra bucks for the right person (a.k.a. yourself).
Betty Booze
These Blake Lively gourmet cocktails might come in a can, but that doesn't make them any less fancy than a bottle of champagne or prosecco. The sparkly drinks are the party favors you need to set off any holiday celebration (or pool party, or girls' night in).
We love how feminine and opulent the packaging is, almost as much as we love the taste of the sweet drinks that pack a punch. But what else would we expect from the actress, who drips in panache and oozes style?
Our Editors Say
"I'm not much of a tequila girl, but [Blake Lively] has turned me with her Sparkling Tequila and Oak Smoked Lemonade seltzer. Also, why was I never approached with the opportunity to combine these flavors before?" — Alyssa Brascia, Shopping writer
Celebrity-Owned Vodka
Drinking vodka is like a rite of passage; you're not considered a fully-formed adult until you've had a good martini. And these celeb vodkas let you do it in style. Cheers!
King St. Vodka
Raise a glass with your favorite group of ladies to this women-owned vodka brand. Not only was it created by a woman, but it's also the brainchild of actress and singer Kate Hudson, who was looking to disrupt a market that she saw as not having enough women leaders. And disrupt it she did.
One customer on Total Wine described it as the "smoothest vodka I have had to date!" We love the charming floral bottle that looks more like something you'd see housing a chardonnay or rosé.
Mulholland Vodka
Buy at Mulhollanddistilling.com
Actor Walter Goggins may often play a villain or a ghoul with no olfactory limbs, but when it comes to vodka, he clearly has a nose for this. His super-affordable vodka (you can get a bottle for just $14!) is distilled right in California and has a slightly sweet, slightly minty feel. And in case you were wondering, he doesn't stop at vodka: Mulholland also makes gin and whisky — all of which have won awards for their refined flavors and smooth finishes.
Meili Vodka
Created by Aquaman star Jason Mamoa, this vodka is a total add to cart when you want to find the perfect gift for the man in your life who has everything (else). The packaging is as sexy as the actor who created it, with a very water-forward aesthetic (which is made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled glass, by the way).
Celebrity-Owned Gin
A great substitute for those who don't like vodka, gin is so versatile. While it's not known as a sipping liquor, it's the base or some of the best mixed drinks. Make it a festive occasion when you hand your loved ones one of these celebrity-owned gin brands.
Renais Gin
Lemon peel, coriander, rock salt, and acacia honey are just some of the ingredients you'll find in this gin from "Harry Potter" alum Emma Watson and her brother Alex. If you don't know anything about gin and what goes into it, allow us to explain: It's yummy.
And it's no wonder; the siblings come from a family of winemakers, which inspired the process of using upcycled grapes to create this fruit-forward spirit. We guess you could say the grape doesn't fall far from the vineyard? Not to mention the small batch gin comes in the most stunning art deco bottle that catches the light perfectly from any angle.
Our Editors Say
"I was introduced to Emma Watson's family's state-of-the-art gin at a cocktail-making class, and I've been staving off using this bottle ever since (a.k.a. saving it for very important celebrations) because of how good it is. [It's] a bold, citrusy concoction with hints of sweetness and spice that tastes incredible in a martini with a twist." — Alyssa Brascia, shopping writer
Staple Gin
It's no shocker that celebrity chef Rachael Ray can whip up an alcoholic concoction good enough to rival any recipe she's perfected in the kitchen. Her gin, launched with Do Good Spirits, is crafted with coriander, Castelvetrano olives, bergamot orange peel, tarragon, extra virgin olive oil and a bunch of other ingredients you would find in the culinary genius's staple foods. The bottle is as festive looking as you'd want a holiday gift to be, and the best part is that it'll cost you less than $50.
The Gardener French Riviera Gin
Award-winning actor, producer and entrepreneur Brad Pitt seems like he knows liquor — and we don't mean that in a bad way. His handcrafted gin is exactly what you need to convince your loved ones that you're a master mixologist, whipping up gimlets and Tom Collins with the smoothest finish. And looking at how sleek and inviting the bottle is, you'd be convinced that Pitt was a sculptor in another life, too.
When we talk about giftable alcohol, this is what we envision. You can put it on the mantle, the bar, your vanity — it will look good anywhere in the home.
Our Editors Say
"It has a delicately floral flavor profile that bounces between juniper, orange, and grapefruit, which brightens any drink. Plus, its pristine packaging adds a touch of sophistication to any liquor cabinet or bar cart." — Alyssa Brascia, shopping writer
Celebrity-Owned Rum
Whether you love to slow sip your rum from a highball or use it to make a mean mojito, these celebrity-owned rum brands will be a great addition to your bar.
SelvaRey Rum
Someone certainly left the door open for a celeb to launch a new rum and singer Bruno Mars slid in and grabbed the opportunity. Not only is the bottle as sexy as the "Die With a Smile" crooner, but according to customers on Total Wine, the rum is as smooth as Mars too.
The chocolate and coconut flavors are perfect for mixing or sipping alone, and the reserve is an investment bottle that's quite the treasure when you present it as a gift.
Ten to One Caribbean White Rum
We can say that we finally got our hands on Ciara's goodies, and boy are they delicious. The singer/songwriter launched the rich line of rum with founder and CEO Marc Farrell, whose Trinidadian roots are at the core of the brand. While Ciara's involvement with the brand has been pretty hush, the splash that this brand is making has been pretty loud.
Try the white and dark vanilla-forward, spicy rums to level up your cocktails, and keep the five origin select on hand for guests who like a neat drink.

Celebrity-Owned Tequila and Mezcal
Whether you like it sweet enough to sip, smooth enough for shots, or so smoky it tastes like your grandfather's fireplace, these tequila and mezcal brands created by celebs are giftable and conversation-sparking.
Dos Hombres Mezcal Artesanal
We all wanted to visit Los Pollos Hermanos when Breaking Bad was at its peak, hoping to get a peek at Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, Gus, or even Saul. Unfortunately, it wasn't real. What is real is this fine mezcal created by the two main characters of the show (Walt and Jesse), played by actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who may know a thing or two about chemistry. But there's no illicit activity going on here, just really good distilling by two men who appreciate a fine drink shared amongst friends.
Solento Organic Tequila
If you don't know filmmaker Taylor Steele by name, you likely know his work — he's behind such films as Momentum, Stranger Than Fiction, and Castles in the Sky," to name a few. He's also the mastermind behind this small-batch tequila with a smooth and balanced taste that comes in a sleek bottle that'll look great on any bar cart.
Fans of the brand include basketball star Jimmy Butler, skateboard legend Tony Hawk, and professional surfer Kelly Slater. So if your guy is as active as these athletes, it's an excellent gift to help him set aside some time to take it slow and unwind.
Pantalones Organic Tequila
If this tequila makes you feel alright, alright, alright, that may be because it's the best thing that Hollywood power couple Matthew McConaughey and Camila McConaughey "made with our pants on."
There's nothing better than enjoying a drink made with love and fun, and their blanco, reposado, and añejo are all made with both. They're slim enough to fit in a back pocket so that you can take the good time on-the-go, and you won't ever forget to bring a bottle to every holiday party you're attending this season.
Teremana Small Batch Tequila
After a successful wrestling career, a stint in modeling, and a still flourishing acting career, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has tried his hand at many professional ventures — and we're lapping up everything he's cooking. One of his latest is this tequila brand that's already been praised by USA Spirits Ratings.
Choose from blanco, reposado, or añejo to elevate your cocktail or to give that friend who's always looking for a new tequila to try.
What's the Difference between blanco, resposado and añejo tequila?
Blanco (white), reposado (rested), and añejo (old) refers to how long tequila was aged, as explained by restaurant owner and bartender Lui Fernandes, on his popular TikTok account. Blanco tequila typically spends two months or less aging, while reposado ages anywhere between two months to a year, and añejo will age from one to three years.
Celebrity-Owned Whisky
Sometimes nothing will do the trick except a glass of velvety, brown — and the right whisky is just that. These celebrity whiskies are no exception, with their rich flavor and ornate packaging.
SirDavis Whisky
Fans of singer, songwriter and entrepreneur Beyoncé weren't surprised when the multihyphenate dropped this whisky brand since she had been pretty vocal about her love of the spirits category. Nor were they surprised that the "Heated" singer's whisky had already won awards and garnered international praise. Pull up a seat, grab your highball, and let's toast to the single ladies and everyone else who can appreciate a fine drink.
Black Irish Cream Liqueur
Liqueurs are often just part of a drink recipe, so they don't tend to get gifted. But when the unofficial queen of Christmas has an Irish cream that'll give anyone's eggnog or coquito a kick, you may need to make an exception. All we want for Christmas is singer Mariah Carey's Irish cream liqueur — and maybe her shoe collection.
Virginia Black American Whiskey
Buy at Virginiablackwhiskey.com
Rapper Drake knows what moves the needle in music, and with this whisky he created alongside spirits entrepreneur Brent Hocking, he's proving that his savvy expands beyond tunes. The duo describes the bourbon (a type of whisky that can only be made in the U.S.) as decadent, and they're spot on.
Even the sleek bottle that houses the rich drink screams more-is-more, and you'll keep wanting more of this sweet and spicy whisky. It's the centerpiece of an elegant and modern liquor cabinet; everything else should be designed around it.
Celebrity-Owned Non-Alcoholic Drinks
BERO
While a case of beer isn't the most giftable, it's great to bring to or have at a party, and non-alcoholic beer shows love to your non-drinking guests. If this one is good enough for actor and creator Tom Holland, we're definitely all in! The best part: It actually looks like a traditional beer, so you can stay sober without needing to explain to tipsy folks why you're not drinking during the holidays. Snag a six-pack of each brew for just $16.
Kin Euphorics
Supermodel Bella Hadid and entrepreneur Jen Batchelor also think that happy hour doesn't have to include alcohol, which is why they launched this non-alcoholic drink brand rooted in Ayurvedic medicine. The booze-free drinks are made with adaptogens, nootropics (a.k.a. cognitive enhancers) and botanics, so they're tasty and mood-boosting. Purchase them in cans or in pretty, giftable glass bottles that your sober friends will appreciate receiving.
De Soi
There are lots of things we love singer Katy Perry for, and now we can add this mocktail brand to that list. Hailed for their great taste, the non-alcoholic apéritifs give you all the holiday feels, but without the horrible hangover. While most come in affordable packs (cans), Golden Hour, a sparkling, citrus-forward drink, comes in a bottle, perfect for gifting to someone you love who wants a wine-sipping experience without the wine.
