Why Sister Wives' Kody Brown Should Think Before He Speaks

Kody Brown has never been one to mince his words, especially when speaking to any of his four wives. Over and over, Sister Wives fans have watched as Kody has offended one, if not all, of his spouses, all in the name of being right. But it must be hard for one of his first three spouses to watch the newer episodes because Kody, frankly, is mean. Whenever he talks about Christine Brown, he does so with venom and clearly doesn't wish her happiness. But Christine is finally standing up for herself and sharing with fans just how she feels. 

Christine Brown reminds Kody Brown of a simple lesson

While speaking with Us Weekly, Christine wanted to remind the patriarch that "words hurt." For multiple episodes, Kody has been tearing his ex-wife a new one with no form of consequence. Christine is "frustrated" by Kody's constant digs about not loving any of his wives. Kody has been particularly hard on his third wife, probably because she was the first to leave the family. For the past two seasons, he hasn't held back his anger as he tries his best to tear her image down.

But when Christine watches the episodes back, she takes solace in David Woolley. She told the outlet, "I just talk to David about it because I would never do the things Kody accuses me of doing." Kody has accused Christine of turning their children against him and rallying the rest of the wives to divorce him, too. Christine said, "David says, 'No one's going to believe that. Everyone knows you're not going to pit your kids against Kody.'" But Christine noted, "Divorces are hard. And having to hear what's being said about you behind your back is really difficult." But Christine is trying to move on even if her ex won't exactly let go.

Kody Brown reveals personal details of his marriages

A recent Sister Wives episode was uncomfortable for multiple reasons. But one was the fact that Kody hinted at having a "f*ck and fight" relationship with his wives. He stated, "I was in terrible relationships but wasn't willing to discard them, didn't want to discard them." Kody then added, "That doesn't create intimacy; that just creates orgasms." Please, TLC, never ever let Kody say "orgasms" again. In older episodes, Christine also touched on their lack of intimacy during Season 18.

Christine told the Juicy Scoop podcast, "It was, like, five times in one year. There's sex, and then there's intimacy. What we didn't have was intimacy. The intimacy itself had been gone for years." At the time, Christine said, "He's like, 'We're not going to have an intimate marriage anymore. We're not going to have sex.'" The mother of six shared, "I was the one my kids would listen to, and I was the one my kids talked to. And if they needed to feel love or security or acceptance, they got that from me." Both Kody and Christine have bashed one another about their marriage, but I think Kody has taken his hate to another level. 

Christine Brown is moving on from Kody Brown

Even though Christine is peeved by Kody's inauthentic words, she shares that she is "stronger than I ever thought I was. I'm very grateful for everything that happened to lead me here. I love where I'm at." As for her ex-husband, she pointed out, "Kody doesn't define me—I define me." It seems Christine also remembers the rule that sticks and stones can break bones, but words should never hurt her. The Sister Wives star is living her best life now and isn't about to feel sorry about it.

The outlet also asked how her husband, David, was fitting into the bunch. Christine shared that she "dreaded" him having to meet Kody, but the introductions went better than expected. She shared, "We realized everyone's going to do the best they can. We're going to be in the same space for the rest of our lives. We just need to be adults about it. David and Kody handled it fine. They were gentlemen." Season 19 will show David and Kody coming face-to-face at some point. And while Kody is pretty brave when it is just him and a camera, I doubt he will say anything nasty to the couple when they are standing in front of him.
