It’s an undeniable fact that no one on this earth has suffered more than Savannah Chrisley. That’s what she seems to think, at least. The Chrisley Knows Best daughter is once again, reminding the world how heartbroken she felt when Julie Chrisley and Todd Chrisley got slapped with their guilty verdicts. Prepare the world’s smallest violin.

Of course, no one actually asked Savannah about how she felt the day her parents got punished for their fraud scheme. She took it upon herself to dedicate yet another episode of her podcast to the subject.

It isn’t easy being the kid to two fraudsters

In the latest episode of Savannah’s podcast, Unlocked, she gathered a roundtable of her friends to recount the “shocking” moment her parents received their punishments. Apparently, it took a little bit of time for the news to really hit her.

“I didn’t cry the whole way home,” Savannah admitted to her friends. “I don’t even remember getting home.”

Once she finally made it home, she completely lost it. She said she broke down, and the reality of the situation all came crashing down on her at once.

“When I got home, I literally walked in the door and collapsed,” she recalled.

She continued, “I couldn’t even function.”

The saving grace in the situation? The feds didn’t immediately cart the Chrisleys away to prison after their trial. Instead, the judge allowed Julie and Todd to spend about 90 days with their family before they reported to their facilities. According to Savannah, that felt like a major relief, even though they weren’t expecting it.

Savannah explained, “Everyone was shocked because whenever — especially too with how the judge had acted the whole trial, and whenever you get that lengthy of a [sentence]… They just take you immediately. And so we were shocked when the judge said that she would give them until January to report.”

On January 17, 2023, the couple officially reported to their respective facilities, marking the end of their crime spree. However, Julie might be going home early thanks to a recent appeal.

Meanwhile, Todd received a 12-year sentence and his attempts to appeal have failed. He’s got a long time to sit and think about where he went wrong in life and the years’ worth of podcast content he’s giving his daughter.
