Kate Hudson is pro-tattoo, but she has a few that have led her to establish boundaries around this topic in the household and among her kids. While appearing in a recent episode of “The Martha Stewart Podcast,” she opened up about her son Ryder Robinson’s tattoo choices. She pointed to one specific ink of the 21-year-old that eventually made her “draw a line as a mother.” The mom of three expressed her feelings about her child’s “terrible” tattoo, and it is nothing but relatable.

Kate Hudson ‘drew the line’ with her son’s scribble calf tattoo

Kate Hudson won’t say no to tattoos, but that comes with a condition. On March 13, the actor appeared on Martha Stewart’s podcast to talk about her new Netflix series, “Running Point,” her career, and motherhood, among other topics. Speaking to the host, the actor detailed a few of her son Ryder Robinson’s tattoos, including one that she absolutely despises.

Hudson admitted that she convinced her son to take off a “terrible” tattoo, which made her “draw a line as a mother.” The ink in question is a “scribble” inked on Ryder’s calf. The star further expressed her reaction upon seeing the tattoo. She recalled saying, “I’m like, ‘Nope. That’s coming off…’ It’s gotta go and he’s gonna get it taken off.”

However, the actor noted that she doesn’t mind her kids getting tattoos once they reach an appropriate age. But she put forth another non-negotiable condition. Hudson told the host, “I’m just like, ‘Just stay away from the neck, you know, neck down. Just help me out. I don’t want face tattoos, please.'” She further revealed that Ryder has quite a few other tattoos, including a “CBR” ink that honors his three half-siblings with their initials — Cheyenne Genevieve, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, and Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.

Although rarely, Kate Hudson features her kids on social media. She recently appeared on Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast and opened up about protecting her kids from the spotlight. The actor stressed prioritizing boundaries to show kids that they have their parents’ utmost attention.
