Erika Jayne Finds Sutton Stracke Friendship Difficult: 'At an Arm's Length'

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Sutton Stracke and Erika Jayne have never had an easy relationship. After all, Sutton was the only cast member questioning Erika about her estranged husband Tom Girardi’s legal and financial woes. Let’s just say that Erika didn’t appreciate it. The duo continued to clash across every season, and Season 14 might not be any different.

Erika Jayne thinks her friendship with Sutton Stracke “is like sand”

During Season 14, Erika is continuing to focus on her career. That includes nabbing a spot at the Mighty Hoopla festival in the UK. As for her personal life? Erika isn’t looking for a relationship. "I have a lot of work to do and I really just want to be successful on my own. I have, for the first time, my own thing," she explained.

However, that might not include a close bond with Sutton. No matter how many fried chicken luncheons the southern ladies share. The two seem like they are getting closer, then split apart again. Who knew that Sutton’s Magic Mike meltdown would cause so much drama? Erika felt that Sutton was insulting Erika’s friends in the production, and she was salty. So, how does Erika feel about Sutton right now?

“She is okay one minute and then the next minute, it’s not. When that happens over and over, it’s hard to feel any sort of stability in a friendship,” Erika told Pride. “The friendship you end up maintaining is at an arm’s length. How can you invest in something built on sand?”

That is a good point. It seems that both Sutton and Erika may be destined to be more casual acquaintances than besties. However, you never know with the ladies from RHOBH. They always keep us on our toes.
