DWTS Pro Peta Murgatroyd Supposedly Saved Charlie Sheen From Stalker

Here’s a story that’s so insane that it’s almost hard to believe. Apparently, Peta Murgatroyd from Dancing with the Stars once had to rescue Charlie Sheen from a stalker. So, not only is she a dancer, but she’s also a bodyguard.
We know this sounds like a plot straight out of a low-budget movie, but Peta’s husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, swears it’s true! He told the story during a recent appearance on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast, and the whole thing has left us completely baffled.
Peta Murgatroyd’s alleged heroic rescue
According to Maksim, he and Peta used to be Charlie’s neighbors for about three years. One day, Maksim said his wife called him frantically because she heard Charlie calling for help. Around the same time, they knew Charlie had been having issues with someone in the neighborhood.
"I get a call…and she's like, 'Hey, Charlie's outside screaming, help, help!' What should I do?' I'm like, 'Boy, you should probably go help. Like, go see what it is,'” Maksim recalled.
A few minutes later, Peta called him back and said that a woman forced her way into Charlie’s house. Allegedly, Peta found her “clawing” at Charlie and ripping his shirt off. That’s when Peta stepped in and wrestled the stalker.
Maksim explained, "She grabbed him, it was terrible. And so, Peta said that she had to physically handle this lady. And I was like, damn, babe, so super proud of Peta."
Now, if you’re questioning the legitimacy of Maksim’s story, there is a police report that sort of backs this up. Back in 2023, TMZ reported that a 47-year-old female neighbor broke into Charlie’s house in Malibu, ripped his shirt, and tried to strangle him. That sounds pretty similar to what Maksim described, right?
The report didn’t mention Peta showing up and kung-fu fighting the intruder, but the lady did get arrested for assault and burglary. Then, earlier this year, Peta and Maksim moved out of Malibu earlier this year. That’s probably not a coincidence.
Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+.
