Dolores Catania Helps Redesign Home With Paulie Connell: 'Not a Bachelor Pad Anymore'

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania and her boyfriend, Paul “Paulie” Connell, are still going strong after three years. Even though they came close to a breakup for a while there, all is good again with Paulie and Dolo.
So good, in fact, that Dolores has completely made over his house to make it feel a little more like her house, too.
“Now it’s a home,” she told Bravo. “It’s not a bachelor pad anymore.”
Dolo’s tour of her and Paulie’s beautiful home
The home is beautiful, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a rooftop patio, and an open kitchen complete with an entire wall of wine. But they seem to have an issue with closet space, since Dolo shared that she is using every bedroom in the house to store her own wardrobe.
“I have taken up every spare room as a closet,” she admitted. “I have taken every closet as mine except for [his closet].”
Dolo is not kidding when she says her belongings have taken over Paulie’s house. So much so that they might need a bigger house.
“I’m telling you, no joke, but this is just one room that I took over,” she confessed about one of the bedrooms. “I want the bed out of here, and if Paul wants to buy a big house, then that’s fine. I’ll have a closet, but until then, I’m taking the spare rooms. Sorry [not sorry].”
When Paulie bought the house, he thought he was buying a home for himself, a single man. He never imagined that he’d soon have a girlfriend move in and take over all his closet space. He’s actually still legally married, after all, though he’s working on a divorce.
“I’ve complained to him about this house a few times,” she said. “There’s no parking when I wanna invite people over. He goes, ‘When I built this house, I didn’t plan on having a girlfriend, OK?'”
What happened to Dolores’ own home?
Although she admits the house isn’t perfect, it’s beginning to feel like home. “We look at houses here and there,” she said. “But honestly, I’m starting to get used to it here.”
Dolores still owns her own home, the one we’ve seen on RHONJ. She had just finished renovating it when she met and moved in with Paulie. No one was more surprised than she was!
But she has no plans to sell her home any time soon, since her two adult children live there with their dogs. “I can’t sell the house,” she laughed. “It’s become a dog shelter. [Between] my daughter and my son … there [are] about seven dogs, and everybody’s living happily in the house that I’ve redone. So it’s here to stay.”
Meanwhile, be sure to catch Dolores competing in The Traitors Season 3 when it premieres on Peacock on January 9, 2025.
