Below Deck's Dylan Piérre De Villiers Explains Vanderpump Rules Cameo

Deckhand Dylan Piérre De Villiers may be struggling to fit in with his crewmates on Below Deck, but he seems right at home with the Vandepump Rules group.
Just days after Dylan made his debut on Below Deck Season 11 Episode 8, sharp-eyed fans spotted him on another Bravo show.
In Season 11 Episode 9 of Pump Rules, Dylan is seated right next to Katie Maloney as she confronts Brock Davies for exposing her hookup with Max Boyens to ex-husband Tom Schwartz.
Dylan chats up Katie
On April 29, Dylan was a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. When Andy asked him what he was doing sitting next to Katie, he responded, “It’s actually such a funny story.”
“So, we finished up with our professionals in LA,” he continued. “I thought it would be a nice idea to go out. As I go — I’ve never been to SUR before — I see them filming Vanderpump Rules. Guillermo [Zapata, the co-owner of SUR] and Lisa [Vanderpump] and all of them were there. The next thing I know, I’m sitting next to Katie and asking her, … ‘So, Katie, what do you do for a living?’ She just kind of looks at me.”
Andy then asked the Cape Town native if he had any sort of “chemistry” with the VPR OG. Sadly, he was too distracted by goings on in the bar to even hear Katie’s answer.
“Just before I got to know her full life story,” he said, “a massive fight … broke out. I was sipping my Aperol spritz quite vigorously at that point.”
Oh, so close, Dylan. You might have been Katie’s next Boy Toy if only you hadn’t lost focus.
