Angie Katsanevas Addresses Social Media Battle With Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow

As if there isn’t enough drama on screen with Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, the cast has been at each other’s throats online, too. Ahead of last week’s Season 5 premiere, Angie Katsanevas went head-to-head with Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow in a social media shadefest for the ages.

Now that the dust has somewhat settled, Angie is opening up about why she took the social media feud so far, and it doesn’t sound like she has any regrets about going to the gutter.

In case you missed it, the online beef started with Meredith took a shot at Angie K over her past friendship with Jen Shah. Lisa jumped into the conversation, too, and Angie clapped back at both of them. She accused Meredith of riding Jen’s coattails for airtime, and she suggested that a “Park City mystery man” had been paying for Lisa’s cosmetic upgrades. It’s a lot, but Angie told Entertainment Tonight that their social media fighting isn’t as serious as it looks.

“Twitter is really petty, and it’s like child’s play,” Angie explained. “What’s going on on Twitter has nothing to even do with what’s going on in the show.”

According to Angie, she originally wanted to keep the online shade “light and funny.” However, when Lisa interjected herself and took them to the gutter, Angie felt like she had no choice but to go nuclear.

“People want to take it to the next level, and I responded in the heat of the moment,” she confessed.

With that said Angie, made it clear that she didn’t lose any sleep over the situation. The next day, she woke up and moved on from it. She said that there’s plenty of drama in Season 5 to keep everyone busy.

“We have bigger fish to fry,” Angie teased. “It’s a long season, there’s a lot that happens. This is just silly and petty.”

Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues on Bravo, Wednesday nights at 9/8c.
